NAACP Image Award Nominee and jazz vocalist Vanessa Rubin, is revered both as a torch bearer and a storyteller. Rubin possesses a voice hailed for crystalline clarity, hearth-like warmth, and playful lioness sass. To accompany her in this rescheduled Pittsburgh engagement, Rubin is bringing an all-star Octet: Cecil Bridgewater, conductor; Richie Goods, bass; Winard Harper, drums; Patience Higgins, tenor and flute; Duane Eubanks, trumpet; Bruce Williams, alto and flute; Clifton Anderson, trombone; Alex Harding, baritone; Brandon McCune; piano.
