The Theater is an inspiring destination dedicated to the performing arts. The flexibility of the space, equipment, and technology support any experimenting artist or performer.

All Art Rental Packages include:

  • Access to the facility between 9am-11pm on the day(s) of the rental (including dressing rooms, green room & rehearsal room)
  • State of the art theatrical lighting and sound consoles and equipment
  • Box office set-up and staff support
  • Designated number of labor hours for Front of House and Technical Staff Support

Pricing

While we would love to give an easy answer to this question, the overall rental fee for the New Hazlett depends on many factors, including the style and scale of the event you are planning, the date(s) and times you will be in the space, and staffing and equipment needs. Fill out our Rental Inquiry Questionnaire, and our dedicated events team will work with you to draft a rental quote that fits your needs and budget.

Rental Highlights:

  • Additional staff for both Front of House & Technical support (including A2, video/projection technicians, etc.) billed at hourly labor rates
  • Staff Labor exceeding 40 hours in a week will be billed at the overtime rate
  • Additional Facility Attendant is added if guest count reaches 250
  • While most house equipment is included in the rental, some items such as projector, projection screen, wireless microphones, etc. would be an additional cost. Please provide a full list of equipment needs.
  • Events/Performances that include a reception or food will be charged a $250 reception/clean-up fee
  • A refundable security deposit of $500 is required for renting the space
  • General Liability insurance with the New Hazlett Theater and the City of Pittsburgh listed as insured is required
