This spring, Texture Contemporary Ballet proudly closes its celebratory 15th season with Eternal Beauty. Eternal Beauty brings these timeless truths to life through breathtaking choreography, stunning performances, and a celebration of the enduring connection between artists and audiences.

With Eternal Beauty, Texture Contemporary Ballet invites audiences to experience dance not only as a performance, but as a living legacy—an art form that transcends time and leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of those who witness it.

As we close our milestone 15th season, Eternal Beauty is both a celebration and a reflection—a look back at the artistry that has shaped us, and a hopeful gaze toward the creativity that lies ahead. This final program embodies what Texture does best: bringing contemporary ballet to life with passion, imagination, and deep emotional resonance.

About Texture Contemporary Ballet

Texture Contemporary Ballet is a Pittsburgh-based dance company that fuses the power and precision of classical ballet with the freedom and creativity of contemporary dance to surprise and delight audiences and empower the next generation of dancers and choreographers.

We were founded in 2011 by Alan Obuzor, and since then we have been creating and presenting predominantly new and original dance works for people who love to be inspired through dance. In our work, we enable our artists to take creative risks, and we help our audiences to experience their thoughts and emotions by forming connections through live movement and dance.

Get ready to wiggle, move, and groove! On Saturday, March 21st at 4 PM, bring your family to a one-of-a-kind interactive children’s performance that will spark a lifelong love of the arts. Kids and adults alike will be mesmerized by excerpts of our “Eternal Beauty” show. But the best part? Kids get to join the dancers onstage for a fun, movement-filled experience, learning through participation. It’s a fantastic way to nurture their creativity and build an appreciation for the performing arts. The one-hour performance is perfect for families and geared for ages 10 and under, though all ages are welcome.
