Dance Africa Pittsburgh is an annual celebration hosted by The Legacy Arts Project, inspired by the legacy of Baba Chuck Davis and his call for “Peace, Love, and Respect for Everybody.” This two-day event features powerful performances by youth and adults, showcasing the beauty and diversity of the African diaspora through dance, drumming, song, spoken word, and visual art. Audiences are invited to take part in community workshops and explore the vibrant African Marketplace, where traditional Adinkra prints, Kente cloth, natural body products, and handcrafted goods reflect the richness of African heritage. More than an event, Dance Africa Pittsburgh is a cultural offering—a gathering of spirit, artistry, and community.
